La band Atreyu ha completamente ricontestualizzato il loro album di secondo estratto del 2004, “The Curse”, con la produzione e la mixaggio affidati a Memphis May Fire‘s Kellen McGregor. Questa nuova versione dell’album risulta essere una reinterpretazione del lavoro originale, che presenta la formazione attuale della band. Il bassista Marc “Porter” McKnight si occupa delle parti di urla che inizialmente erano state eseguite dal cantante Alex Varkatzas.
In un comunicato, il gruppo ha esplicitato la loro visione per questo nuovo incarico: “Rebuilt with reverence — not to rewrite, but to reclaim. Questo è l’album che ha formato tutto, ricostruito da zero con 20 anni di prospettiva e precisione. È più pesante. È più acuto. È The Curse, pienamente realizzato”.
